How long does it take?

The procedure itself takes about 20-30 minutes. We also spend some time on consultation and consents.

Is it painful?

Most clients have minimal pain, rating it from 2-3 on a scale of 1-10. We also use some local anesthesia prior to procedure.

How much swelling should I expect?

Every patient is different. Some people swell up while others do not, swelling depends on multiple factors. Just because you didn't swell one time, does not mean you will not swell the next time you do a treatment. Major swelling typically lasts less than 4 days on average.

Will I bruise?

Most people do not bruise. For some people who are pre-disposed to bruising, we recommend stopping fish oil, vitamin E, alcohol, and ibuprofen type products to reduce the chances of a bruise. Depending on the type of bruise they can last 2-3 days or up to 2 weeks respectively. Arnica pills or gel can be used to help heal bruises.

How long does it last?

Depending on the type of product, dermal fillers can last anywhere from 1-2 years. Bellafill, a semi-permanent filler can last up to 5 years.

When can I go back to normal activities?

You can usually go back to normal activities the same day. Just be careful to avoid touching or massaging the treated areas as it takes 2-3 days for it to completely settle. Also avoid exercise for 24 hours.
